My cat's favourite game was where we used to cover him with a towel then he would attack when you quickly prodded him. He used to purr like crazy whilst playing right up until his 20th and final year. We miss that boy.

I did the box t shirt one and i lined the inside with an old snow jacket because my mom wont let me bring the cat indoors. It gets cold at night and the cat loves the box.

I love how charismatic Cole and Marm are! Also how they're always interested in the stuff you're doing and popping up in the back of videos! We have a cat food puzzle too but our cats are too lazy- they refuse to use their paws to bat it. They like to try and stick their head into the place where the food comes out instead! I really like your page and channel, your cats always make me smile- thank you x

#1 Tip: Good idea, i.e., using a latex glove to brush off cat fur from furniture. Actually -- and please don't be disgusted by this -- I find if I just wet my hand (no glove) that picks up the fur just as well. Then, to get off any remainder on my hand, I wipe my hands together over the garbage bin. This works on clothes, too. And bathing cats every 8-10 days in the warm weather eliminates most of the shedding altogether. Most people are afraid to do that but it's really easy. Singing to them while you bathe them helps, too.

Love the empty-bottle-kibble toy. Great idea. I have to try that. I made a cat cave. Only my smallest cat likes it. Can't figure out why the others don't. (I have 3 cats.)

Another good idea for catnip is to place it in places you want your cat to go. Once I had a comfy bed for my cats but they didn't seem interested in it. I just hid a little under a mat and they quickly became interested. Now they love it and sleep there all the time.

And speaking of beds... well, sort of.

You know how cats HATE the cat carrier? I thought about it and decided I could get them passed this. First, I didn't hide it away. I left it out with a warm blanket inside and kept the door propped open (so they couldn't accidentally knock it closed). Then, again, I added a little catnip under the blanket. Voila`! Now 99% of the time, they love their carriers. They're still not thrilled with it when I close them in. But it's no longer a strange place to be and I think it even lessens their anxiety when we go to the vet.

Around Christmas, Dollar Tree sells empty plastic ball ornaments (in a set of 2). Pull off the metal cap and wire piece (so that only a hollow plastic ball remains), add bits of food and/or treats. Viola! Cat treat activity ball! My cats freaking LOVE these! (Note: once oily and nasty inside, you can't really clean them, so just chuck it into recycling and use a new one. 🐱💜🐱💜

I left a corridor behind the mattress, between it and the box (it's a box spring), and Carlota loves it! She hides there, runs, and plays with her paper balls :D
