Friends, in today's video, I discuss one of the six physiographic divisions of India, which is the Northern Plains of India.
The Northern plains of India spread from Punjab up to Assam. The Northern Plains are about 2400 km long and 240–320 km broad. It is an agriculturally productive part of India formed by the alluvial deposits of the Indus, Ganga, Brahmaputra, and their tributaries.
The northern plains of India are also divided into three main divisions they are
a) The Punjab Plains
b) The Ganga Plains
c) The Brahmaputra Plains
