Great movie - awesome to see it on 4K - but this would have been a GREAT opportunity to finally release the original ending as a special feature! I mean, it was fully shot and shown to test audiences so it must be in the Warner brothers vault somewhere - heck, even Chevy Chase has mentioned in the audio commentary that he owns a copy with the original ending. This edition would have been perfect to release it - do we now have to wait until the 50th anniversary? By then home video will be dead so it should be released now, just like the added scenes that were included in the planes, trains and automobiles 4K. Missed opportunity 😔.
Still great to see it on 4K though - hopefully Warner come to the party and include the original 'I'm so excited' song to the Christie scenes like in the original theatrical cut. Here's hoping! 🤞
