I've been planing on taking notes while playing because I tend to not notice or remember my suroundings during a round. Someone can vent and then I get scared that maybe I didn't see the color correctly. That one note map being a cheat threw me off a bit

I'd say that making notes of who's innocent and sus, and other notes isnt rly cheating, cuz yes, you do write stuff down, but it's to help your memory. Like, writing "green was near (body found location) when it was found", "saw blue do med scan", or "red was in security" shouldn't be considered cheating, cuz all you do it write some notes of what you've experienced to make it easier to remember stuff. And becuz writing these notes is mostly just helping your memory, saying that it's cheating is pretty much the same as calling someone a cheater for having an incredible memory. You can also use them to think about things through more clearly, but that's just the same as using your thoughts, because the notes are like pieces of your memory
