Western Islands, The Gem of Georgian Bay

The "Western Islands" are one of the gems of Georgian Bay, CANADA. They are sometimes referred to as "The Galapagos Islands" of the Great Lakes for their unique geology and diverse flora and fauna. The Igneous rock formations were the result of volcanic activity over two billion years ago and then leapfrog to 11,000 years ago when the ice age reshaped them as they formed the Great Lakes.
