i remember the first time i took a "valuair" flight which is essentially jetstar about 19 years ago in 2005. a couple of family members asked me, why i risked my life taking such a "budget" airline. i told them there's no difference in the plane itself, only difference is in service. besides i don't need in-flight entertainment (which was mostly gag videos on overhead screen back then) and i don't like airplane foods. why should i pay for things i don't use for short haul flights. the airport itself is more important than the plane for a short haul flight because you are likely to spend more time in the airport than the plane.

Respect! Hello from Bucharest, Romania - a huge underrated city in Europe:)

Bottom line is don't expect any meals to be provided on budget airlines unless you pay for them. Was taking scoot pre covid and ordered a meal online, an auntie passenger beside me actually ask if she got a meal and was turned down flat.

I flew scoot from mnl to syd back at the end of 2019. I don’t mind paying for food and water but the issue was, they didn’t take any currency other than local currency in cash and no card. I was dehydrated from running but had nothing but my saliva for over 8 hours. Felt like dying honestly

Like them or not. I'm all for options. More options, better for consumer.

But I did not know that budget airline meant lights in the cabin and aircon was also shut off when the airplane was on grounded. It was news for me.

If Scoot was not low safety, then why did one flight on the way to back, lost one wheel nose wheel?
Lucky that flight could have landed....safely!😆

Shouldn't it be 'working for' rather 'working on'? Unless one means that one is 'working on' a budget airline as a work/school task, rather than as an employer.

There’s a guy at the managing desk at the airport. Won’t mention names. Such a PoS.

Salary is low and the work sucks. The pilot always harass me. 😁😁😁😁

michelin chicken rice or food court chicken rice…both don’t place me 36, 000 feet in the air. nice try on an analogy but the low cost pilot just provided a low cost analogy.
