I can't find the Name and Value under Items property anymore. I have tried this out multiple times, seems like it was removed. Is there a workaround because it's not downloading files

Thanks Reza for an very very important Short video but had very high value in many apps. One thing i am going through the comments like the Name and value are not visible and the Solution is like turning on the Legacy formula bar under the Retired section of the Settings and then you need to close the app completely and re-open it so that the app gets refreshed. (Please publish or save before closing the app.)

This doesn't work in Custom Page(Model Driven App).

For anyone else having trouble with this, the step where you set the advanced Items Value dropdown to "Value" *does* need to be done and it does NOT show up in the UI anymore unless you go to the "retired" category in the app settings and toggle on "Legacy formula bar". I tried using this same technique to create a CSV and could not get it to work, so if anyone figures that out with this attachments control hack lmk 🙂

Hi Reza, thank you for introducing this function to me - helped a bunch ;)

I have a (very specific) problem though...
My app contains several Image controls, all of which display their content properly within the app. When exporting to PDF using your method though, all of the images stored in our SharePoint do not show.
I also tried using an HTML text control with <img src="[my-sp-image-url]">, but it gave me the same result.

I tested both approches with random image URLs from Google Images - showing in PDF without issue. Also tried base64 data URLs - also showing in PDF without issue.
Regarding the base64 approach, the image files stored in SP as far as I know can't be converted to base64 in-app without using some external Flow (which could get easily out of hand if there are too many images on a page that would need converting), so this also isn't an option for me.

Do you or anyone reading this have any idea how this could be solved or worked around?
I believe the issue might have something to do with authentication to MS services - but then again - within the app it works. What do you think?

Thanks a lot in any case and have lovely day! :)

Thanks for the tutorial, Reza. Is it possible to limit this process to one click? So it generates and downloads the pdf at the same time?

This is a great tip, Thank you! Could you please explain to me how you 'hide' the attachment control after clicking of it to download file? I can setup visibility based on the 'PDFBlob' content, but how 'reset' it after clicking on the control?

Hello Reza, thank you so much for your videos! They have helped me a lot in learning how to use Microsoft tools. I have a problem, and I hope you can help me solve it. I followed the example you explained in the video, and everything works fine. BUT when I download the PDF to my desktop and open it with Adobe Acrobat, I get the following error: "There's an error on this page. Acrobat may not display it correctly. Please contact the person who created the PDF document to resolve the problem." I have another app that also generates PDFs, and I can't open them in Adobe either. The PDF file has 2 pages, and only the first page is displayed correctly; the rest are blank.

Hi Reza, your video really helped me a lot. But I have a problem with this function. I can download the file directly when I click on the pdf in the edit preview app page, but when I use this app, I click on it and it pops up and says: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. How can I solve this problem, thank you😧
