PRS is just another tool in my box, there is a time, or song, for it. Everyone should have one in their tool box. They should also have a Fender, and a Gibson as well.. I own a SE custom and use it when the need arises. Nice demo.

I don't know why they call them entry level guitars, they are better than most guitars twice the price...I have been playing 34 years and I own a Custom 24 and it's my favorite guitar. I added some prs locking tuners and its a beast !

After viewing loads of PRS SE and core model videos and not hearing a major difference between them. I came across a 2013 Korean made Custom 24 in charcoal grey with the birds on the neck. As it had three holes screwed into it for a GK3 Synth pickup (idiot, use the sticky pads) I got it at a steal, at least $200 less than other ones I'd seen. It also had a hard case so I done the deal. I filled the holes, colored and drop filled them, sanding them smooth. I felt the fingerboard edges a bit too abrupt so I rounded them off, perfect. after playing Les Pauls and Strats for many, many years, I wanted to see what this guitar could bring to the table.
Firstly humbuckers, It's a good bit brighter than my Les Pauls, possibly because of the treble bleed capacitor fitted, not the same tone quality, missing the Gibson quack, really a bit generic. Think more Schecter, Ibanez etc! Split coils fare a good bit better, getting a reasonable Strat tone out of each and a nice Tele middle position. Where it falls down of course is Strat positions 2 and 4, everyone's favorites! Maybe a three humbucking pickup version with a five way switch and extra coil split would be the ultimate PRS. I do find it play easier than both LP and Strat, thanks to the extended access cutaways and the 24 frets. Check the video out ;0)

Just got mine, the exact one in the video and love the feel and weight. However, I'm waiting on my Harley Benton, that will determine wether I keep this one or not. This is an awesome guitar, always wanted one, it's the price, but AMS easy pay plan 0% made it possible, I'm a bass player.

Is ut just me?? I think Korean SE models are better than Prs US.. I've played guitar for 35 years and have a lot of expensive guitars, but my favourite is my PRS se C24

Hey, I am looking for a new guitar but I cant decide between this and PRS SE 245. Can anyone of you help me? I intend to play all types of genres. My foremost priority is the playability and quality of the guitar. Also, how would a Fender Player strat HSS model be? My personal preference leans towards PRS SE 245 but just cant decide. Please suggest.
