Tarlos marriage or adopting kids may or may not happen any time soon, but I love writers for giving us scenes like these to
show us that TK and Carlos are moving slowly but definitely forward in this relationship. I mean, it's only been like a couple of months since they made it official, right? There has to much more things they got to learn about each other before the wedding bell starts ringing. At least they are in a healthy exclusive relationship. ❤

Seriously I want this couple to get more spotlight in season 3 because they are literally wasting these two as a couple. Carlos is not getting enough screentime. It's like 85% screentime is for Owen and rest is for others. I hope that other characters will get more screentime in season 3.

I feel like Season 2, Carlos has become less and less of character with his own story and more - just TK's bf.
Crazy sandstorm and he's not going in for work against looters? No, because he's babysitting TK's captains' children. In comparison, Athena of 9-1-1 - during LA's blackout - got a whole parralele to the firefighter's story that last the entire episode.
He doesn't have his own friend anymore since Michelle went off. He has TK's friends.
Even the arc with the bomber, it was also and mainly about Owen's addiction to action, Owen's frenemy relationship with Bill and an opportunity for TK to get kiddnapped for conflicts reasons.
We know a whole lot more about Judd, TK, Owen, even TK's mom at the end of season two.
But Marjan, Matteo and Carlos himself? No backstory.
Ah, yes. A less-than-one-minute confession about how Carlos' parents hugged him after his coming out and then it was never revisted again. How did the rest of his family took it? His sibling(s)? Does he have any? How did it go for him in highschhol? What pushed him to come out? Any friend since or then beside Michelle? Hobbies? Is he artsy, considering how decorated his house was? Precint/gym buddy? What's the story with his partner on the force? How does it feel to be a gay latinx law-enforcer in Texas? Any though? Nope.
It's like his life starts and ends with TK.

I can understand TK's disappointment when Carlos said he doesn't want kids. I imagine this moment popped into his mind and he thought, "but you would make such a great dad!" I pray Carlos changes his mind.
