Ichinojo meets his match

From a cultural events festival in Tokyo on Jan 2, 2019. Ichinojo and his heya's rikishi provided an entertaining demonstration, the future of sumo in action. One could tell through the program, though, that Ichinojo's main goal for the day was not to fall on a child. The lads did a great job, and the kids, too.

For any of you sumo fans who would like to read an account of one of the final heya visits before the pandemic hit, I've published a book of my most notable travel tales, "Seduced by the Horizon."
