Yes! It's about time that treating menopausal symptoms and the deficiency of doctors to do so gets brought to the surface. Also the discrepancy.

My gynecologic surgeon (who comes VERY highly recommended) knows NOTHING about symptoms related to menopause. When I asked her what surgical menopause will do to me, she said “you’ll get a few hot flashes and that’s about it”. Her level of ignorance is confusing and shocking

I started VEOZAH last Monday, June 3, I think. Got approved for Astellas pharmaceutical assistance program. I can’t really tell how it’s gonna work because it usually takes 3-4 weeks. But I’m hopeful for the first time in months! Today is my 49th birthday, too. ❤

I asked a doctor about balancing my hormones to help with hot flashes and SHE laughed at me then offered me an antidepressant

It is very helpful to know about studies like this so that we can help educate our physicians. Any chance you can provide a link? Couldn’t find one in description or as pinned comment. Thanks!

It’s appalling to me how health care for women is still very lacking. However, it is INEXCUSABLE for OBGYN to have “limited knowledge”, especially when it comes to menopause! The information in the article referenced in this video is alarming! Women populate 50% of all humanity on this planet, how is our health still such a low priority?

I just turned 40 and realized no one, including my "mom" told me nothing about menopause. I don't think I've started menopause yet but how would I know?

I had way more problems with perimenopause than actually being in menopause but I treated my rather mild hot flashes using Emotional Freeing Technique. AKA “tapping.” I tapped very generally on the flashes as they happened and within less than a week they stopped completely. But, I’m experienced in EFT and had only mild hot flashes. However I did guide a friend at a party through a major hot flash (sudden onset complete with flushing skin and sweat) using EFT and in two passes it faded away and didn’t come back until the next day. EFT can be truly remarkable for all kinds of issues, especially emotional ones. I like to tell folks that it won’t cure a broken bone (for an example of a physical injury/illness) but it can make a big difference in how you feel about it and that can make healing easier and more complete.

DOCTORS DONT KNOW EVERYTHING! Medical is endless in learning something new.... We definitely came a long way but still have far more ways to go.

Thank GOODNESS 🥵🥵🥵🥵 I mean, my estrogen patch has slowed down my hot flashes, but they still happen. Albeit less frequently... but I still get at least 1 in the early morning hours.
