Brian, Great review. I have been running this setup now for 2 years, 1st gen and now 2nd gen. You do not need to disconnect the remote to micro adjust on the fly. while already connected, Simply hold down the connect button till its flashing (3sec I think) and you micro adjust on the fly to dial in that gear. You can also have it auto shutoff in the app at a selected time. I have mine set for 15 min. It can also accept a Sram AXS battery. I carry a spare AXS battery in my hip pack for this reason and also for my seatpost.

There is actually a micro adjust function similar to a barrel adjuster in a normal cable shifter. If you hold the button on the shifter for a second or two it’ll flash orange and then you can tune the gear you are in. To exit the micro adjust just hold the button again for a couple of seconds and the orange light will go away.

Sure it’s not an amazing product, but it’s pretty interesting. I love these sort of products that attempt to fill a niche. Sometimes they’re super popular, and sometimes they’re not. It is what it is. Appreciate the video though. I’ve been liking your chill videos like this

It’s not true wireless. It’s shortened wired shifting but uses a remote. You have to mount that Archer servo motor on your chainstay which is a bit of a backwards move. It shifts slower than if it were wired.

To keep it from moving around, it might help to use some 3M double-sided "trim tape" between the unit and the chainstay. That stuff is tenacious.

The best with wires is the feel, you can have it so the gears goes on with a lite touch. And if its a problem i can push a little more, and it pulls a little more wire.

You should think about buying battery before they close door. There is Shutdown and wake up option in app settings.

I am running 2by10 system with 2 D1X ver.2 and i love them, you can not shift front derailleur on the pressure (36-22) but it works nicely.
Very sorry they are closing the doors.

In the second season using this the motor in the shifter burned the cie said no warantyjust a deal on a new one and now they are out of business...im back with xtr cable goes so good 😊

Glad you mentioned the cable ties, that’s where I lost interest.
Also, there’s a battery to go flat AND still a cable to damage.
I’ll just stick with what I have, it’s more than adequate.
