Can an Oster electric wine bottle opener really make your life easier? Let's find out.

Does anybody enjoy struggling to remove a cork from a wine bottle? You know, breaking have the cork? Or, leaving bits of cork floating in the wine? Probably not! If you are ready to leave those days in the past, There's a much more refined solution.

Today, in this lifestyle video, we are going to look at the Oster Electric Wine Opener. A real blessing to every wine lover that you know!

The minute you open the box and hold it in your hand, you are going to love it’s simple, yet stylish, design that is a breeze to use. We’ll get into its use in just a minute.

Before we get into the operation of the battery powered wine opener, let’s look at what’s include in the box. The package includes along with the cordless opener itself, a stand for charging, power cord and plug, and a handy dandy foil cutter that stores neatly in the base.

You are so going to want to use this, that will be tempted to a bottle right as soon as you unpack it from the box, but do as Oster recommends, and charge the electric wine opener first. The recommendation is to charge the opener a full 8 hours before first use, by simply placing the wine bottle opener in the base and plugging it in. The manufacturer claims that on a full charge you will be able to open 30 bottles. I’m sure that I’m never going to find out if this is true or not. After all, after I use it, I place it right back in its charging stand where it sits on the counter waiting patiently for its next call to duty.

The cordless wine bottle opener is quite simple to use. There is just one rocker button. Pushing the lower part of the button drives the corkscrew into the cork and then extracts the cork from the bottle. After removing the cork from the bottle, push the top part of the button and the opener reverses itself and spits the cork out of the device into your hand. Voila, c’est manifique. No fuss no muss.

There are a few little tips to share to make sure that your experience is a positive one.
First, make sure you hold the rechargeable corkscrew straight up and down over the bottle.
Second, hold onto the bottle or the bottle will just spin. Seems obvious, but not to some.
Third, push the opener down onto the cork with a fair amount of pressure. The cork top will just be chewed up otherwise.
This electric corkscrew really is a great product for any wine lover, but I must say that it is particularly of benefit for anyone that has grip issues. Say, like my 91 year old mother.

Just got a Oster electric wine opener as a present from a friend and after fully charging it I realized that it only works in one direction and is not the one that opens the bottles, I try pressing for long time and only make the unit to get very hot, so it is an useless device.
