Hey guys, our mistake. As others have pointed out, the car does rev to 7000RPM in sport mode. Enjoy the vid!

Honestly, the 3 point turn fiasco is the perfect representation of an enthusiast car lol.

What James meant to say is…. “It doesn’t feel like a car that makes sense, but it is a car that makes you feel all of your senses”

“It’s not a car that makes sense. It’s a car that’s, sorry it’s not a car that makes good sense. It’s supposed to make sense, make good. You know?”

That has to be a new T-shirt now lmao

stayve.

That panic at 13:30 is my worst nightmare. Brought back memories of learning to drive a manual. Awesome extra review as always.

The high production videos on the main channel are phenomenal, but there's something uniquely enjoyable about more lax content like this. I think it's how genuine they feel, not that the main ones don't either, but it's more like just car guys having a chat rather than a special showcase, and it's nice that you guys actually know what points to touch on and how. The vibe reminds me of the older videos to be honest, I really enjoy watching these. And at risk of sounding like a broken record, we would all LOVE a podcast from the two of you =]

For a "quick" review, it came out as the longest I have ever watched on the Extra TH channel
But still a lot of fun!
Great job guys!

Watching your review, I thought, “Who would possibly buy this car?” Then you said (something like): “It’s a $100, 000 Miata that isn’t as reliable, but has 400 bhp, hydraulic steering, and a fake back seat…” And now I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy one.

As an Evora GT owner, I can agree with some of the negative comments. Interior components are dated. I've had a couple of M3s and a Mustang GT350 in the past. Build quality is significantly better than the Mustang. The Evora handles way better than any of my previous cars. It can certainly be dallied. Motor and drive train is Toyota so you can buy most parts for 1/10 of Porsche parts. Brakes are AP so, pads a rotors are not off the charts expensive. Wouldn't drive it in the snow though.

In "RACE" mode, red line is 7200RPM. This also disables TC and ANTI-LOCK. So if you press the button, you're on your own.

I can't help but love Lotus and I think most enthusiasts would say the same thing despite their issues. If I had unlimited finances for my dream garage then an Evora of some spec would most definitely be in there. Thanks for the highly entertaining drive along Thomas and James and keep up the excellent work!

The panic in Thomas's eyes @13.30 was hilarious! 🤣

I love these guys. They're truly funny and passionate. That last scene killed me. You can tell they truly amuse each other and themselves... no phoniness or pretending. The face-palm by James was so good. lol

Had my 2019 Evora GT410 sport for nearly 25, 000 kms in Australia. The Air Conditioning is so cold it shrinks my balls back to normal size after I calve up the hills around home. The car has quirks, but its personality and pure driving pleasure it gives me is worth the price. Be good if you had an extended review once you worked out what buttons to press to give you max RPM and exhaust notes. Keep up the good work i enjoy all your reviews.

I have a 2004 Lotus Elise (the last one with K-series engine) and it's by far the best sports car I've ever driven. Would recommend everybody who's in the market for a sports car to drive a Lotus!

Owner of a 2020 Evora GT, and I've been daily'ing it for about a year now in LA. The clutch is super heavy and I thought I got in way over my head when I bought it, but over time I've grown to almost prefer it because of how predictable it is and how the travel is so logical. Yes, the AC goes out randomly, best thing to do is just to turn it off completely for a little bit and then run the fan only, then turn the AC back on and that seems to do the trick. I mean, when you get a Lotus, especially the hand-built ones (not the Emira) you have to take the shortcomings as a trade-off for a more special experience. I've grown to really love the car for its unpredictability, especially because it's never broken down on me or left me stranded. Also, the Toyota V6 is good assurance it'll run for a very very long time.

Plus, historically they never lose value really, if you take care of it it's never a bad idea financially for the long run
