Man, such an awesome character and he was slain by Shen's cannon... It's hard to believe he was killed by the "weapon that breathes fire and spit metal". At least he was avenged by the Dragon Warrior.

It certainly was a shocking gut punch when Master Thundering Rhino was killed so early in Kung Fu Panda 2.

The abrupt scene change just as the cannon fires made it sink in quickly and left you with a feeling of dread... that thankfully is mostly forgotten due to Po's antics, but it still hits way too hard for a character we'd barely just met

He didn’t deserve to die like that he was a legendary kung fu master who took pride in his fighting and defensive skills but he was a seasoned warrior and seasoned warriors don’t just take attacks head on like that from something new that they don’t know about the whole movie would have been over in five minutes though if he would have evaded first then destroyed the cannon defeat shen and his forces then proceed to lock him up like how they locked up Tí lung ik ik I’m butchering these names but I just hope I can get my point across lol

Master Rhino was overshadowed by Lord Shen, which I understand. But I find his character really interesting that I wish we could’ve gotten more screentime.
