Thank you so much for this video! I want to replace a gas fireplace (direct vent) with an electric fireplace, but I have been told I must have a dedicated circuit. It would be very expensive to run a wire from the garage junction box to the back of the house. I don't believe you plugged this into a dedicated circuit, so it seems I have not been talking to the right fireplace companies or contractors. I love your videos, thank you!

Great video with great results! The lighting in the shelves really take the look to another level.

More detail on how you fastened the book shelves in place would be helpful. Thanks for sharing this project, your friend is a lucky guy to have your help.

Turned my front room in to a library with the billy book cases! Looks like it was built with the house. Such a cool / cheap project

Great idea! It would save so much work using the IKEA cabinets. Do you take a piece of the IKEA cabinets to have it color matched for paint so everything will look the same? There are so many variations of white that I know my eye would pick up on the parts that are built if the color is off a little from the cabinet color. I'm new to your channel but am really enjoying it and learning a lot so thank you!

I've got 60" of space and 2 of the Havsta cabinets would be 63". Is there any way to cut them down or do I need to go a completely different route?

Where did you attach the legs to the mantel? When you are showing the wiring behind the mantel I don't see the legs you built.

Nice! One question, how did the top and bottom flush so even? The Billy bookcase and the Havsta cabinet are a bit different in width.

Do you mind me asking the total cost of this project?

Thank for your great video! My question is, can you fill the shelf adjustment holes on the sides? If so, how do I do this? Also, what do you think about lighting along the bottom back of each shelf space and putting a little molding in front of it to hide the lighting ( uplighting instead of downlighting). Sometimes light facing up, can show objects d’arts really nicely. Thanks again.

All I can say is WOW These look like custom made cabinets. I love the molding around the fireplace. You are so talented.

The Billy bookcase has width of 31 1/2 and the Havsta cabinet has width of 31 7/8. Did you have to do anything to make it look consistent or simply put the bookshelf on top of the cabinet?

What Ikea cabients or bookcases do you recommend for a builtin around a fireplace?

Another excellent built-in. Great idea to just cope the crown, saved a lot of work and still looks custom. Did I spy a Harbor Freight tile saw? Mine might be my favorite HF purchase.

I’m learning so much from your channel so thanks for sharing. Are you using Revit or AutoCad when modeling your work before installing everything? We use these programs at work and plan to use them at home eventually when taking on big projects

could these cabinets be built around a 'gas' vent free fireplace?

Can I do this with one of those plug in fire places that come in a small cabinet already?

Your work is amazing. I wish I could do this to my fireplace.
