To resign for Leeds shows what a lovely lad he is and it’s not about his bank balance. His Nan is a delight and I can see where he gets his balance from.
Listening to him speak, it comes across at how genuine he is with an appreciation of the opposition and their talents. To be honest many of this young English squad show similar qualities and an unaffected persona. It’s such a shame after the penalty shoot out against Italy that the mindless yobs of our country have to undermine that, and become front and foremost in a national narrative that detracts from the excellent tournament the English had.
To accept defeat and victory in the same gracious manner is something that appears to be impossible for a small minority of English supporters. If we’d have won, those same idiots targeting those young lads who missed the penalties, would be singing their praises and arrogantly shoving it in the faces of every other national team. We’ve got an English squad to be proud of, same that same squad can’t say that about those that support them.

He's a good lad and turning into a great player. He's lucky Southgate is so conservative, most and indeed better managers would only play 1 defensive midfielder though Phillips has more to his game than just protecting the back four. Still gutted Villa never bought him when they had the chance. That said, I admire his loyalty to Leeds.
