How to Screen Mirror Android Phone to ROKU Device (Cast Tutorial)

Which version of Samsung are you using? As of October 5, 2020, Smart View was discontinued, on Samsung. Also, which Roku device are you using, because there are many different types.

2 X Phones one Android 12 another Android 11 - TV is TCL 50" Roku with 12.5 Firmware.

After a Factory re-set if I enable Screen Mirroring and then cast to the TV a pear symbol is momentarily displayed and then the phone connects.
I can then cast my screen to the TV withput problem.
But, if I turn off cast on the phone, I can not cast to the TV again.
The phone finds the TV but says it's not available.
The only way I can get casting to work is to do another factory re-set - but then once again I can only cast once!
The pear symbol is apparently Screen Mirroring (Beta) Enabled.
Conclusion -
So obviously it IS possible to Screen Mirror from an Android device to my Roku TV but then maybe something in the Roku firmware prevents further mirroring?

I was here to see why my phone quit casting to the TV. Like to see what I was possibly going wrong cuz it is this easy. Well since coming here it just dawned on me he left one thing out you cannot have battery saver on or data saver on when you cast or else it is not going to work whatsoever. That's what I've been doing wrong and completely forgot about

Pixel 7 pro doesn't work this way. Only Samsung phones. Let me know if this is not true.

My Motorola works nothing like a Samsung, if I wanted to see how to connect a Samsung, I would've typed connect my Samsung, but I typed connect my Motorola.. oh and it def does have smart view...

There is no option for Smart view on my Samsung Galaxy

Only samsung has smartview, and cast only works for google tv or chromecast not for Roku 👎💩
