In this quick episode, here’s a cool trick on how to show hidden Files and Folders in OS X using a simple keyboard shortcut.
Straight to the Demo.
Soooooo, Let’s Get Started.
When using any apps that offers the open or save options, like TextEdit for example, and whenever the Open or Save dialog box is open, as shown here, navigating anywhere, you are able to toggle the viewing of hidden Files and Folders by using a simple keyboard shortcut.
As you can see here, pressing Shift-command-. (period), shows hidden files and folders.
Pressing Shift-command-. (period) again, hides the files and folders.
This is by far easier than entering any Terminal commands to unhide and another to re-hide files and folders.
Coming up in the next episode, we’ll show how to make use of this cool trick.
And that’s all there is to it and hope you’ll join us for the next episode.
