good to know i'm going the right direction. I'm still in the mysql phase but I knew of all the other steps except the javascript stuff. I was confused about how much javascript i should know because the well is deep this cleared it up a bit. Thank you!

Yeah.. great advise! I made a huuuge error several years ago when i started to write my own CMS-framework. I didn't even check about good frameworks like ZF or Symfony or others and i remember i laugh when someone told me - try ZF m8! (another great pitfall) so i made all my sites using my own framework (which was far from ideal and resulted in a time loss on any project) so i was like blind about up to date code innovations and techniques etc so my advise is - use the path provided here!
