I just cut some for myself. You can get about 5 out of one of their filters for the machine . Use a needle or go to dollar tree and get a crafting tool. They are so easy to pull out and push fresh one back in.

Same with the ESON2, the original had a replaceable filter, but F & P must not have been making enough money off the filters.

Thank you for highlighting this issue, Nick! I'm an N30i and P30i user, and it's really bugging me to see the filter turn black within the little holes in the QuietAir vent. It looks like the black mold that grows in damp places like shower stalls. I'm testing putting the vent in a UV cellphone sanitizer every morning to see if that stops the black stuff from growing. It'll be a week or two before I know if it works.

Your idea is the best, of course. In the meantime, ResMed ought to at least sell the QuietAir Vents in the US as they do in Australia and New Zealand.

Thanks to Nicko, my mask is F&P and my machine is a SmartMed and I don't have to deal with RedMed and their exploitive practices anymore.

As someone in the US, it is infuriating how ResMed does this when there is no reason. Those pillows and cushions aren’t cheap. They are probably one if not THE most expensive. I recall Dennis doing a video on how he replaces his with the air intake filter material. All the best mate! Hugs!

Mine was making a loud air noise that It hadn't previously been making. Turned out that the first time I cleaned it, I put that filter bit in backwards. Put it in the right way and its nice and quiet again.

The filter is $11.00 each here in NZ. I have now updated to the Evora mask from F&P

Nicko I use a full face mask. I have a big tongue and my mouth sometimes opens. How would I use a nose only mask?

I can’t find a supplier in Australia? Please help, I’m so frustrated that I only learnt this AFTER buying the mask - and my trial was with the old style of hard nasal pillow. Wish I could buy that piece again!

My N30 was the same. I managed to unclip it and put a new filter pad in. Not sure how many times it can be unclipped and reclipped. I cut the filter out of a normal resmed filter, you can probably get 5 out of the standard filter.

Why does the vent even need to be filtered? It's air you're exhaling right?

I wash & dry the nasal pillow daily & it seems to be ok….no yukkiness in that filter a year on 🧐
