Digital Painting Workflow in Photoshop

This is a video about my workflow and process when I'm painting in Photoshop. This is not an in-depth tutorial, as I do not get into detail about any specific techniques, instead I talk about my workflow in general and the thoughts that run through my mind when drawing. I believe this is a good example for beginners who want to see and get an idea about how digital paintings are created in Photoshop. Digital painting can definitely be confusing but the more time you invest in it, the easier it becomes. I had a blast working on this illustration and I hope you like the video!

You know what I like about this video? Is the fact that you sit down and explain your self-reflections, though process, etc etc. Many people do this, sure but you're passionate about it and put emphasis on important things. It motivated me to journal my own processes and here I am, writing two pages on a study I did. Thanks <3

Thank you for sharing! It's refreshing seeing another artist work in photoshop! I like the point you brought up about doing client work and how it can be tricky to deal with the pressure to give them what they want, instead of just focusing on the craft. This year is my first official year as a freelance artist and what you said reminded me to focus more on perfecting the flow of how I work and being open to making changes in my process while still knowing I can deliver the desired piece.
