I just felt the need to point out that fiver is NOT a good place for new writers, as they are a "pay to get work" type of platform, where you're expected to buy credits in order to compete with other freelancers on job bids, and your not going to get any work without a lengthy portfolio. Even with that, you still likely won't get hired because your competing with expert writers who have been on fiver for years, fiver should not be on this list.

Without a doubt, this vlog is enlightening. Do you happen to know which fiction magazines pay the most for short stories, especially for Dark Fiction authors?

So far from what I read, The Atlantic Magazine can pay $1, 000 or more per short story. However, I don't know how elitist the magazine can be and if they reject Dark Fiction in general.
