Compiling a list of the longest bridges in the United States is challenging because there is no valid method for determining a bridge's length. While some bridges are measured from one shoreline to the next, others are measured from one end to the other. Furthermore, the statistics are only approximations, and the feet measurements could be inaccurate due to rounding in conversions.
