Our day at the San Diego Zoo Safari :)

After watching the HBO documentary, our kids really wanted to go see the Safari Park. I was blown away by how much there was for all kids and I really appreciated the warm, knowledgeable staff and the accommodations the park offers. It’s so easy for our schedules to be completely packed with appointments and meetings, but this is your reminder to make sure you’re also scheduling in some fun, too 💛 Tickets were #gifted to us. when i was being mistreated as a kid, a friends family took me to a safari park on the coast for a week. it was an amazing amazing experience. kids need more than just food and water to thrive.

Went to a children’s museum today that had signs on each stall to indicate auto vs manual flush! The things I never knew I was missing! 😂

I needed this! Special needs child & the forms & back to school stuff just never ends. I’m super stressed but need to enjoy these last few days of summer break. Now I gotta find something fun to do!

I visited the San Diego Zoo about 20 years ago, while I was in town for an educational conference.
It was a totally amazing place. I did think it odd that there were polar bears so close to Mexico, though. I bought a zoo screen saver that kept my kindergarten students occupied for years. They loved to watch the animals.

The San Diego Zoo ranks right up there with my favorite Bronx Zoo.

Oh I know, auto flushers were made in hell. I am an adult with cptsd and I still struggle with them, so please be compassionate to your children and give them plenty of heads ups or alternatives if they are going through this.

OHMYGOSH!!! My parents took me here for my 18th. It was incredible and I loved how accomodating and welcoming it seemed for so many people. We got to meet Ruuxa and Raina (rest in peace puppy)!! I'm so happy yall got to enjoy it :D hope yall saw the white headed buffalo weaver bird too hehe

I grew up going to the SD Zoo, and its highly acclaimed for a reason! Absolutely adore that place!

auto flushers are actual nightmares. i keep sticky notes on me whenever i go out so that i can cover up the sensor

This is local to me. We have pictures of my dad with birds on his arms from the bird enclosure years ago. Super fun.

Yeah, I know. I like auto flushers and high speed hand dryers. But they terrify my child. Too surprising, and much too loud.

Im actually terrified of automatic anything like toilets, handryers, roombas, i tolorate the soap despensers, i can never seem to figure out why though, so its very nice that they dont have it

I was the weird one who liked auto-flushers, because it meant I didn’t have to flush! I had a fear of flushing due to seeing a toilet overflow when I was really little, and a thought that was something they just did. (From what my parents have said, the person had put way too much TP in it, but it was also at home, so, yeah.)

hey i’m sorry i know this is off topic as you don’t foster anymore, but i love your page and i just had a question, if you had a teen foster child who smoked weed as a coping mechanism for depression and anxiety but it didn’t interfer with grades, sports, work attitude etc. how would you go about this?

I hate outo flushers because of getting germs on me
