Ron was truly amazing with the Faces and by far his best work. Always find such a groove to his playing and totally overshadowed and kept in a box with the Stones. the Faces are such a criminally underrated band.

History. When pub culture & football terraces were part of band culture. Rod Stewart was recruited in his local pub. *GASOLINE ALLEY* UK album liner notes explain the absence of Ian McLagan: " *Mac not available due to bus strike* .”
Terrific Ronnie Wood bio covers this period: *ROCK ON WOOD, Terry Rawlings*, 2010.

What a fun, small-venue, early clip of the boys. Ron on slide is beautiful.

By far one of their best songs. Lyrically. Musically. This song just has so much soul pouring out of it, it fills mine too.

Just after thinking. This was 1970. The talent that was releasing music back then was incredible. Elton, Led Zep, Faces, The Who, Queen and way so many more. Jesus, I don't think we will ever see the amount of creativity or talent we did back then. Bloody hell they was great.

Listened to this song so many times that i can sing it by heart. Gasoline Alley is a great song, great album of the same name as well.

Such a great band. Ron Wood still as the lead man of the band, and Rod at the top of his game.

Growing up, The Faces my favourite 'group' second only to The Stones! still are really haha! Ian 'Mac' & Ronnie Lane both much missed. What a re-union that would have been!!!

Comaradery like that is a very VERY rare thing in Rock n Roll especially off stage.
This here in Ronnie Lane's band looks genuine just as it did when it was Small Faces with Steve Marriott.

RIP Mr. lane
