I tried the night light project and it was successful

But light was very low

Better yet, get a DC to DC boost converter module ($5) and convert 5V DC USB to whatever you want. (turn the screw, it boosts the voltage) Then just bypass a 120v LED lightbulb circuitry and power the whole LED array with it. Much simpler, way more light.
