Many consider Dimash the most talented singer in the world. Range, technique, passion, showmanship, and not bad looking. He is the complete package. Check Sinful Passion, Adagio or basically anything by him. He has been training since age 5, but is still a humble sweet guy. He calls his fans Dears. Great reaction!

I only recently discovered Dimash after ignoring him in my YouTube recommendations for over a year. I figured he was just the latest pop "sensation" and I generally do not listen to that genre of music. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I have since watched hours upon hours of reactions to his various performances. I mostly watch reactions from professional vocal coaches, many with backgrounds in Opera. I came across your channel, and like you, I am absolutely amazed by his incredible talent, ability, vocal range and dynamics, his delivery, as well as his stage presence.

You have barely even begun to scratch the surface of his talent and vocal ability. I am looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, some Dimash fans are almost cultic to the point of fanaticism and they get outright defensive and combative over any perceived criticism of their "object of worship." I am simply an admirer of good music and talent, regardless of genre, and do not count myself among the Dimash fanatics, but I am utterly amazed by him.

From what I gathered, Dimash is from a very musical family and started singing and piano lessons at the age of five when he was found to have perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. He also completed a Broadway musical master’s class and has recently completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition; his thesis was titled: "Personal Image of Traditional Music". He graduated with Honours, achieving a perfect score of 100%. He is currently working towards his Ph.D. as he wants to teach music after his singing career.

Dimash has diligently honed his craft and developed his God-given gift for more than 20 years now and it shows. I read somewhere that Dimash used to swim 3 hours every day to increase his lung capacity. It's not just raw natural talent but tremendous work, dedication, and discipline to achieve this level of performance. He has won many prestigious singing competitions and is a much-loved national treasure in his native Kazakhstan. He was even offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far.

He sings in 12 different languages, speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is getting pretty good with English but is still studying it along with Mandarin which he says is a very hard language to learn. Dimash also plays six instruments; the piano, dombra, guitar, xylophone, cello, and drums. During his live concerts, he usually performs for more than two hours and treats his audience to an eclectic mix of styles.

His range is about 7 octaves now and spans across all five registers from a rich bass-baritone through to an extremely high soprano and whistle register, and he seems to effortlessly navigate between them, often within a single breath. As you might already know, there are only 5 registers, from lowest to highest: vocal fry (pulse), chest voice, head voice, falsetto/flute, and whistle tone. Soprano is a vocal range and/or voice type - so Dimash can still sing the highest voice type, but he would be singing in that range using both his head voice and falsetto and very occasionally whistle tone. He has even hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato, the highest note ever performed during a live performance. It has been recognized that his high notes are usually not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it’s spectacular. However, Dimash is dismissive and says it's not how big your range is but what you do with it.

Dimash, singing here in 2017 in French, is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He started singing lessons at 5 when it was found he has perfect pitch. In this performance he was 22 and in a competition for famous professional singers, (nothing like the Voice or AGT), in China he was invited as a wildcard and after this one song was catapulted to worldwide stardom and became a pop superstar in China. He is also famous in Russia mainly for his neo classical work with Igor Krutoy and many of those works are very operatic, but he has now introduced pop songs there too. His vocals range from a rich bass baritone through to an extremely high soprano and his whistle register which he rarely uses, he has hit a D8 for 5 seconds with vibrato. He was on a solo world tour and in his concerts he sings for around 3 hours with an eclectic mix of styles. 6ft 3 or 191cm Dimash, is from a very musical family both parents and his sister sing, mother is a soprano. Dimash was offered a place with the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down to follow his own path and he has been very successful thus far, but I suspect world domination will soon come his way. He is a multi instrumentalist too and is very competent with 8 instruments but can play just about anything. He has just turned 27 now, and is mostly known as a live performer, he has released a triple platinum album ( platinum in 37 seconds, triple platinum in under an hour) and a new album will be released soon.
It has been recognised that his high notes are not whistle, but head voice, Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does its spectacular like everything else about him. He has billions of fans worldwide and I am definitely one of them, and he calls us his Dears, as we are all as dear to him as his family, and he means it, he knows who helped to make him famous. He is a softly spoken, polite, elegant and very humble respectful young man. He deserves every bit of the success he is having, he has worked very hard for the past 20 plus years and now his dreams as a young 5 year old are coming true. There is an interview he did for BBC World Service in 2018 where the interviewer showed a drawing he did when he was 5 of him singing on a big stage with microphones, speakers and his beloved music cassettes showing his desire to be where he is now. His recent sellout world tour has been postponed due to the covid-19 epidemic but will restart when its safe to do so. He has concerts lined up in Dusseldorf, Prague and Minsk there will be others around the world including South America. None of those partucipants or audience gave ever heard Dimash before as this was a Chinese comp. they were told to welcome him enthusiastically. After this performance, he needed bodyguards everywhere he went, and there were 6, 000, 000 hits on the Chinese version of youtube.
