Great casting for a PJ Harvey song. Ruth is able to conjure that same tormented intellectual desired beauty vibe as Polly.

For those of you in the US, you will witness an incredible event if you see Polly and her band on this tour. The show in September was probably the best gig I have ever attended. I'm 53, and have been going to shows since I was 15. You lucky people!

I was too ill to see PJ last September, and listening to her has been bittersweet since. I’m hoping to see her this August, if I’m lucky to make it in one piece.

This is one of my favorite songs from the album!
It instantly gave me a Broadcast sort of vibe and got me thinking... It would be beyond believe if PJ had a side project with the surviving members of Broadcast, reunited Broadcast with her singing or they did a live set together to honor Trish Keenan.

24 years old and have become a fan of PJ over the recent months. Every album is different, and well performed live. I much prefer her music over whatever plays on the radio today. Ive watched many of her lives on YouTube and man i wish i was able to travel in time to watch her in the 90s and 2000s and even today. Stories from the city, stories from the sea, to bring you my love, Rid of me, Let england shake and i inside the old year dying are just masterpieces, hell all of her albums are masterpieces, just those i listen to the most. She is very lovely and intelligent as is the band whoever she plays with. I need to get a copy of her book Orlam. She is equally just as good at poetry.

Genius as always. There are aspects of this song that would not have been out of place on "Dry". Simplicity and elegance over a challenging and allusive theme. That is PJ Harvey for 30 years.
