Adam Savage Builds an AT-ST Walker (from Star Wars)!

preview_player
Показать описание
After assembling the incredible Merlin Models AS-ST model kit based on the stop-motion puppet from The Empire Strikes Back, Adam and Norm take on the even larger AT-ST Walker kit based on the 1/24 scale miniature from Return of the Jedi! We're even more impressed by the armature design this time around, and set both builds up for a posing session to wrap up the assembly!

Two guys in the parts man cave, building models with such a passion and enjoyment. Nothing else better in the world. Great video Adam.

This is one of the many examples and reasons why I love Tested. The casual and excited conversation about the things involved in an AT-ST moving is so engaging and thought provoking. Love it!

Seeing how the armature works, it's unbelievable how Tippett and crew made these things walk so naturally. Incredible work.

These are amazing models. I would love to see the Merlin folks make a fully articulated ED-209 from Robocop with the same level of refinement and detail!

Great build. It is wonderful to see that I am not the only one who lays the parts out on the bench first. Also wonderful to see the interaction between them. Building models with your mates is always a fun way to catch up. Now, lets see them build a 1/24 scale AT-AT.

Adam, I dont know if you'll read this, but the one helmet I've always wanted so see since the release of Gladiator 2 was the helmet worn by Pedro Pascal with his role as Marcus Acacius. I can't get my mind off of it and tried so many times to see more images of his helmet yet the only ones I found were in his Instagram which just isn't enough for me. You're my only hope Adam, I know you can find that helmet. I can barely sleep without thinking of that damm helmet.

I hope you can understand.

Sincerely: Cirino Saldana.

Strength and honor.

The Chicken Walkers seem to have more details than I remember. Great looking model.

Ok, I redact my previous comment in the first build's video about the visors closed. I see how they modeled that one off of ESB and the unboxing today had them open with ROTJ. Absolutely amazing kit and great to see one in that configuration. ❤

In a funny way, I feel like stop-motion is one of the most human form of video productions. Maybe it's due to the primitive technological concepts that are easy to understand, but in practice require huge levels of concentration, patience, and artistry to accomplish that is subtly indicated through the movement of a stop-motion figure.

I was lucky enough to find an ESB one here in the UK. From the minute i opened the box i was blown away. The packaging, casting etc is second to none. THE best produced "garage" kit i have ever seen.

I love the joy you both have doing these things. And THAT gives me a little joy sorely lacking today. THANK YOU.

I love this video! I recently built the Bandai AT-ST and was surprised by the quality and fit of the parts. If you're on a tight budget, or don't have the display space, I highly recommend it.
