👉 Learn essential definitions of points, lines, and planes. A point defines a position in space. A line is a set of points. A line can be created by a minimum of two points. A plane is a flat surface made up of at least three points. A plane contains infinite number of lines. A ray is a line starting from a point but extending infinitely and a segment is a line joining two endpoints.

A point is labeled using a capital letter. A line can be labeled using any two points on the line. A plane can be labeled using any three points on the plane. Two or more points are said to be collinear if the points lie on the same line. Two or more points are said to be coplanar if the points lie on the same plane.
