I think I watched tons of videos with Promises and ended up with only having a partial understanding of how they work. Eventually I ended up by trying to avoid them ...until today, when I watched your explanations! OMG...to me, you are simply a genius! I will never find enough words to express my gratitude for all the things that I learned! Basically, if it weren't for you, I would not be a frontend developer today. I learned JS with you, I followed the React tutorial on udemy and now, I can't wait for the latest part of the Node tutorial! Just a quick question is the only real reason to use promise here 12:16 is because of the example and we could easily use if else like normal
