Restoration of Cartier Roadster

Restoration of Cartier Roadster

Today I will restore a Cartier Roadster Automatic.
Launched in the early 2000s, and discontinued in 2012, the Cartier Roadster belongs to the most well-known series Cartier has ever released. It was inspired by automobiles, the watches were based on certain vintage automotive parts which reflect a sense of nostalgia. The timepieces came in different case and bracelet materials, namely steel, gold and two-toned.
Being a luxury timepiece, the Cartier Roadster is equally versatile and sporty, and features the company’s distinct use of defined shapes for their cases.

This particular watch is heavily used and shows massive scratches. I try to bring it back to its original beauty.

Enjoy watching 😊

Thank you for a very satisfying video. The ETA movement was nicely finished and seemed befitting of the Cartier name and style.

Another wonderfully satisfying video 👍😊.
I wonder if anyone else found themselves thinking “oooh, that’s a lovely crown and stem” when you removed it!😂 It just looks lovely and solid.
Your camera work is exceptional- thank you for sharing your skills with us.

Wonderful work on a watch brand I have always had mixed feelings about: is Cartier just a fashion brand or do they produce quality goods that you can enjoy at the very steep price they are asking? It seems that they are more of the former, but at least they did not cut too many corners when it came to the movement they bought and put into this watch. I do love your videos and hope you will continue making many more of them.

Nice job, lovely looking watch, ETA movement doesn't bother me at all as the chronometer and top grade ones are excellent movements. As a watch maker are in house that much better?

I have almost the same watch in similar condition. How much would it cost to have this done? Do people ship watches to you normally? I'm in the eastern US

Hello! How much would it cost a restoration of a Roadster XL Chronograph?

Is there a reason some things were blurred out?

Very nice result, especially the case finish! Could you please tell me what type of brush/tool you used for the middle part satin finish?

great great job: you’re a Maestro…someone should explane me WHY I have to buy this watch so expensive with a 2892 movement costing 250€ each, not if it pays the brand…I do not understand it…

Fake movement! There is nowhere in hell Cartier who'd leave a stamp on a baseplate 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
