An Epidemic Of Groupthink | The Matt Walsh Show Ep. 228

Today on the Matt Walsh Show, we'll discuss the epidemic of groupthink in our society. People are less and less willing to think for themselves, and form their own ideas and opinions. We will analyze the problem. Also, Jussie Smollett’s lawyer comes up with a hilarious alibi, PETA embarrasses itself again, and I deal with the claim that Jesus was a polite, nice guy who never would have insulted anyone.

Thank you Matt.
Saying what you did about Jesus and the prophets really lifted my heart. You speak with truthfulness and clarity. God bless you.

I cannot believe that you still view those rallies and Trump's emphatic support as mindless idol worship. They are there to support him because he is the most outspoken & effective champion for policies that are important to them. He's the most outspoken and effective champion against the left. They are there to support the president because he is doing and saying things they agree with. I guarantee you that most people there don't agree with everything he's said and done. I don't. Yet I see those rallies and wish I was there, too. I really don't see where worship comes into play. The boy-band comment was really condescending. I wish that traditional conservatives would take a queue or two from him (I think there are a couple in the US Senate that are trying), and stop trying to be so diplomatic in all cases. Some situations call for fighting fire with fire. Diplomacy usually only works when both sides are civilized and want to cooperate.

THANK YOU!
I’m not a conservative, but I’ve found I cannot even evaluate a candidate without being a traitor.
No questions allowed!
It’s sad.

More truth from Matt Walsh, and as usual, I wholeheartedly agree. God has certainly blessed me and mine, through your ministry. Much love to you and yours and to all the Daily Wire family.

Matt's take on scorn and insult in the Bible is almost spot-on... Jesus, at least in my understanding, used kid gloves for the most part on those who were parishioners in the Jewish faith. He saved his harshest criticism for Peter, interestingly, the Pharisees, Sadducees, and the Scribes.

To put it simply, Jesus insulted those who should have known better. The people Matt insults I think, for the most part, should know better...?

"Social media was bound to become a toxic, disturbing, pornographic garbage heap but it shouldn't be boring." Matt, that is a more profound quote than you know

Most people are tribal in nature. It's normal to latch on to others who feel the same as you do. It goes for everything; sports teams; politics; religions; hobbies even street gangs. The good thing is that critical thinkers can change and evolve, leave one group and join another or be the Lone Wolf rebel. We all have free will given by God. Use it.

Dear Matt: I laughed so hard at your description of the poor defenseless cows that I shot the milk I was drinking out of my nose. I invite you to come up to Montana so you can meet some of our defenseless cows...they might surprise you. You are mostly right about dairy cows though...dairy cows need pampered.

People don’t have time for critical thinking. They are struggling to survive.

I don't know if i misunderstood something here or what but.... folks, one doesn't just become a Christian by reading a couple damn books, written by a brother in Christ.

One cannot just simply become a Christian, they have to be made a New Creature in Christ Jesus, through the New birth (born again). And that happens when the Holy Spirit draws a sinner to the bloody Cross at Calvary.

They have to hear the Gospel or be witness too, and in time or on the spot, they MUST respond to the gospel, by calling a pond the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by faith, and receiving Him as their Lord and Savior by faith.

We are save by grace through Faith in the risen Lord Jesus Christ, his blood and his finish work at the cross (the Gospel).

My exact argument with my friend, a great person with artistic gifts, when she says to sstop eating meat or drinking milk: Who's going to raise cattle?

2 Peter "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." I think some people have difficulty wrapping their minds around the idea that God knows what choices we will make. They confuse the point of knowing what will happen and making something happen.

Yes but if we had to reinvent the wheel over every thought we would never get anything done.

Peta says milk is meant for baby cows. Seeds are meant for reproducing plants, not for humans to eat. Fruit is meant for the reproduction of trees and vines, not for the consumption of humans. Nuts likewise. Vegetable matter is intended for the nourishment of the plant to which from which it grows, not for the consumption of humans. Peta's argument that the "purpose" of a nutritional substance should define it's use is utterly inconsistent. By the way, cows need to be milked. If the milk is not consumed, it will be flushed down a drain.

Let peele say that. It breaks the mould that we should have an actor of any colour because of social norms. This is good.
