When ever I do a kick flip it always does a million kcickflips.

Best way to learn the rotation is to pop an ollie and pull your hand hard to the left (if you are right handed) you'll see the rotation and you'll start to get it down, if your fingerboard spins like a tre flip it means you're scooping with your middle finger instead of just popping.

Whenever i try to kickflip i just flick down my middle finger or it goes flying because i do the swipe to hard and i cant get it to flip it just goes flying straight and i cant do the swipe

NO, DO NOT LEARN KICKFLIPS BEFORE THE OLLIE. I've been fingerboarding for almost 5 years or more and trust me learning to ollie is essential for being able to do other tricks. I'm guessing you wanna do something else other than just flatground sketchy kickflips all the time, so that's why you need to learn these tricks in this order:


1. shuvit (it's the easiest trick of them all. I just teached my friend how to do it without them having any experience)

2. ollie (it's the most important trick of them all. You need it if you want to do anything that isn't flatground because you need it for learning to properly control, pop and flick your board)

3. ollie into manuals and grinds (If you only learned how to kickflip it will be impossible to do any tricks to manuals and grinds MEANING you will only do flatground. LEARN HOW TO OLLIE INTO GRINDS AND MANUALS FIRST!!)

4. Varial kickflips and POP shuvits (Varial kickflips - when you do a kickflip your board will start to turn backside while doing a kickflip, meaning all you have to do is let it spin 180 while doing a kickflip and catch it. POP shuvits - it's an advanced shuvit meaning it goes up in the air higher. If you know how to ollie and shuvit it's a piece of cake.)

5. kickflips (Once you know how to ollie into all grinds, pop shuv it, shuv it and possibly varial flip you can finally learn how to kickflip. That is because you now are comfortable on your board and have lots of control and if you know how to pop shuvit you also know how to catch the board which is ESSENTIAL)

6. AFTER nailing everything and knowing how to kickflip and catching it mid air and landing it every single time you can learn kickflips to grinds and slides.

If you don't learn like this everything will look sketchy. AND yes you may know how to "kickflip" from this video but i bet if you learn this before the ollie you look sketchy, stiffy, stale and unclean.

2:13 this is true because when I tried bending my finger to flip the board, its impossible to do it so when I tried doing just like what he said, it worked and my kickflip is finally improving in a better way.
