This beginner Simple BlitzPlus Tutorial shows you how to display text and how to use text variables in Blitz.

Dont worry if you dont understand everything its usual not to pick everything up. This is for those who have never had any experience in programming an language and don't really under the concept of making and programs and how it works. If you find this to easy then I would advice you to start at my Beginner BlitzPlus Tutorials.

Hi MoonNetwork,
a very good video you made and uploaded there. The second i heard a teen "narrates" this video i was happy, because if a rather young person explains something to you, and he is as enthiosastic and smart as you, you most time get it well explained, i explain why i believe that as follows.
People who are around you age (i guess you are about 15 - 17 based on you voice but i might be wrong, sorry in the latter case) explain topics from the very start, throw in good practical uses, give good detail on the things they list  - but not all the details that would just distract from the topic they explain,
they also eyplain all the little things you wondered instandly when they run (for Example) code, and I say to myself " but how do i get the room between the print outputs horizentoraly" and you just say :"so you see that the words are right next to each other. So I put spacebars behind that word, and here on front of that string", and BOOM i dont wonder anymore, i know how to do it.

I know a little blitzbasic, (i tried it the first time about 7 years ago) and I still learned stuff in this short, yet but impressively packed(in a good way) video. Or I'd say, i you remembered me about them, in my opinion remembering something, you would  like to remember is also learning.

Also, id like to say that the video was very informative and accesible (especialy to programming beginners) and that was exactly what you supposed it to be.<<If that is a sentence.

I learned qickbasic (that old one from around 1980~) in shool. That was around 1998.
I dont know if you have ever run qbasic but it would be a suggestion to you, if you try it  even briefly you will see that the above code can be used in it and would even run properly,   with a  tiny change to the ' $ ' codepart of your variable(maybe im wrong and even that change is not needed and it would as is completely compile and run and work properly.)
And i could imagine you would find it quite cool that you, with your good knowledge, are also able to code in that "old" programming language. And I base my opinion on that you have much good potential on this video alone, I  haven't (yet) seen your other videos.

One last thing: All things you said in this video about the code you write in it, were in my opinion correct, nothing mixed up by accident or such. On a subject like programming in special, were every alphabetic character and every single number (like spelling print: prind or put a 8000 instead of 800 into a x or y coordinate variable or an delay) makes huge differences to the outcome most times.
And a source(like you), were someone can relate to every aspect in terms of it's correctness is reliable, and helps greatly.

I'm sorry for my english and spelling/grammar, I'm german so   english is not native to me. Especialy the   '  - symbol, like in " it's " we germans nearly never use these things. Also i didnt my proofread my text, so im sure it contains plenty of orthografic errors.

So thanks for shareing! I Like and subscribe.  it doens't just deserve the 2500+ views it deserves hundredthousands+ as it teaches the basics of programming in general, not just in this specific language.

Keep it up, and greets from Berlin
Igor

Studying the only BlitzPlus guide, that is the one contained in the program once installed on your PC, is it possible to develop a simple platform game complete with everything? And what is important to be able to develop it without additional difficulties?

Watched all your BlitzPlus tutorials. They're quite good. Do you have an recommendations of where else to learn Blitz? (e.g. books, online videos, etc.)
