I’m glad they got this kind of gloves now no good for me. I packed up my tools box long ago.
By the way, just a humble suggestion after snaking the waste line, especially the kitchen line I would run a full sink of real HOT HOT water, it will help push out all the stuff you just got loose.

Video was very helpful in tutorial for how to unblock my sink drain. I didn’t realize you could take off that back piece of PVC, those extra few inches were the magic I needed to get to the wad of hair clogging it up! Screwed that off and got the bundle out it’s draining good as new.

My right ring finger was ONLY broken in a twist ring on a 1/2 inch cable. I got it turned off or I would have lost that finger. No gloves. in fact come to think of it that was 40 years ago in 1983. That is a long time to go with no finger.

A large 5/8's cable grabbed my fabric glove and made my finger nails touch my wrist, backwards, the way your hand is not designed to go. Nothing broken but it hurt. I didn't know it was possible for a hand to do that.

Easy when drainage pipe is straight. Not so when it goes a certain way and you cannot find its trajectory to save your life. The real issue is when the drainage helps create the clog with so many sharp turns inside the wall.

If you kink or bend the tip of the cable you will get a better clean and also easier to make it around corners. Coming from a 15 yr drain guy.
