UEF – Master's Degree in Medical Physics

For the first time in Finland a two-year Master's degree programme (120 ECTS) in medical physics includes clinical training (in total of 30 ECTS), consisting of, e.g., quality assurance measurements, training in radiation dosage planning for cancer treatment, etc. In addition, the clinical training will include a clinical research project performed in one of the selected areas: clinical neurophysiology, clinical physiology, oncology, or medical imaging. Thus, the program is well suited for those planning career for example as a medical physicist or in the field of research and technology related to medical instrumentation.
