Wow, this is great! Not having those annoying mouse clicks between "1" and "2" in the primaries is a great improvement and time saver! And finally magic mask is real! I've been waiting for years for PS quick selection tool equivalent in resolve. I asked about it in BM forum years ago and they said that they are planning something like it. And now it's here! No more custom window-rotor scoping-qualifier-workaround for small adjustments... Or well, at least in theory. Very excited and thank you for another great video Theo!

As always, excellent content. Can I ask you to do a deeper dive video on the new DaVinci Wide Gamut color model. I have done some early testing with this, and it is seems to be giving great color results for three cameras: Sony A7s III shooting SGamut3.Cine/SLog3 (10 bit 4:2:2); Sony ZV-1 shooting HLG; and DJI Mavic 2 Pro shooting DLog-M. In the past, I have just used the standard unmanaged Color Science, and used Color Space Transforms. Many thanks!

I'm ignorant when it comes to HDR so can you please help clarify something for me. Can we use the HDR wheels to color grade BRAW footage, even though I don't have an HDR Monitor nor HDR footage nor I plan to export in HDR. I just like the specific changes you can make with the HDR wheels.

How'd you get the edges in your Fusion node graph to all be at right angles rather than just straight lines? Is that a new feature too?

Hey, just updated to the beta without making a proper backup like a dum dum.
Random things happen (CSTs Nodes change to legacy CST effect but appear a bit different, have their saturation down to 0 for no reason) and everytime I open the project, my curves adjustment just make the screen black. I have to manually edit every node with curves adjustment (just changing any point on the curves solves the issue) in the whole timeline each time I open the project.
Does that sound like something you encountered before or do you know, by any chance, a way to roll back a project to a previous version?

Just dabbling with 16 and 17 and I'm finding 17 is extremely slow and laggy compared with 16. 2 questions, What am I dong wrong, if so, or if I buy 16, will I get an upgrade to 17 included? i5 8400 24GB ram and new radeon 570 8GB graphics card, SSD drives.

False color is not for weird color effect. It's for matching the footage with your reference image.

I like the new proxy files abilities. I've never had much luck with "optimized files". I like to make my own proxies.

The "fake Color" palette tools. Are actually useful for me.. I work with thermal images, and doing this manually by messing with the curves wasn't that easy. It's also great to just see a scale being an easy addition.

Speaking of this "better multi-GPU support", I tried doing the magic mask with GPU support on auto, and Resolve just kept crashing apparently not being capable of handling two AMD D700 and one external AMD Vega 64 all at the same time. Once I manually enabled only the Vega, it came back to its senses.

lots of problems its dropping clips on time line now getting the red screen dont upgrade.
