Learn the basic rope terminology and the associated knots firefighters are trained to use in any given situation.

Basic rope terminology:

- Working or running end of the rope
- Standing end of the rope
- A loop (overhand loop verses underhand loop)
- Turn
- Round turn
- A Bight
- A bend

Learn how to tie:

1) Bowline knot
2) Firgure 8 knot
3) Figure 8 on a bight
4) Figure 8 follow through
5) Clove hitch knot
6) Half hitch knot
7) Square knot
8) Sheet bend knot

Great video Brother, also what i learning in Fire 1-2 is to ALWAYS tie a simple knot at the end of every knot form to secure yourself as for a precaution it's a NFPA Training Technique mainly if you want to pass that coarse

We just went over knots in my fire1&2 class and this was super helpful! I will say though, the bowline around the waist is a lot easier than the 2 ways you showed

That's a cop cop I'm impressed with that girl she has more balls then all the other man standing around not stepping in to what could have been a bad day for that cop for loosing his mind. Good for her she deserves respect.
