Who should qualify for slavery reparations? While much of the debate has been centered on whether black Americans should receive reparations for ancestral slavery, up to 1.25 million Europeans were captured and enslaved in North Africa and the Ottoman Empire between the 16th and 19th centuries. Aldo travels to UCLA to ask students if they support reparations for descendants of all slaves or just select groups. The answers may surprise you.

It's amazing how much you can accomplish by simply asking a few simple questions that causes someone to actually think for themselves. Done so respectfully and factually...this is the type of discussions more people need to have.

My grand parents were all immigrants. They arrived in this country with nothing. They had very difficult lives but worked hard and stayed married. They made sure their children had a good education. Their children, and grandchildren did the same. As a result, 4 generations down the line, their great grandchildren have very nice lives. This is a simple plan but it works.

I'm actually so impressed that those kids had enough logic to understand where he was going with the line of questions and changed their minds. They didn't lash out and start screaming like a toddler

The education system is failing to give the full picture about slavery, but don't think it's an accident.

Not a 1 of them do. Maybe they should retrieve their reparations from their country of origin? They were the ones who sold them.

Imagine if universities could teach this? Teaching students to think critically about all issues.
