Today I'm kicking off a new series!  It's going to be all about tips and tricks for cosplay and costuming!  Feel free to leave comments with things you want to see in upcoming episodes and ideas for a name for the series!

Something I've struggled with in the past is making fitted cosplay outfits for myself. I always managed to mess it up being too short or buttoning in the wrong spot etc. So I've done costumes for my sister and boyfriend but never went dressed up because I couldn't do it myself and messed it up! I made my misty shorts too short and my temari kimono came out horrendous haha but my boyfriends kankuro came out pretty good and my sisters mizuki too. Can't wait for the test of the series! Maybe call it cosplay creations or cosplay constructions

This is actually so helpful. I always B-Line for the cheap fabric and I never know really what to do. I made Kairi from KH2 costume recently and all along the zippers it looked puckered but it wasn't. I think it was just a side effect of using torso length zippers. That wasn't the most fun to work with.

This is so helpful! I've been to three comic cons and have struggled making outfits mainly due to having a small budget! But I think they came put alright but this helps so much!

Thank you so much for all of these tips! And you made this right on time too! Because I'm currently working on a cosplay right now for an anime character named Stocking and she has a fairly detailed outfit but I'm going to have so much fun making it! Another topic you could go over is like how to fit the fabric right and make the fabric the correct width and tightness around your body depending on the character maybe? Because I know some anime characters have rather loose fitting clothes while others have tight fitting and that's something I've struggled with in the past! Anyways thanks again for the tips and AMAZING cosplay by the way!!!

Before I knew much about sewing, I made a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles cosplay dress of the "white mage" style Clavat...I still have it, but I've never even been to a convention. I will go one day! I made it from crepe-backed satin, and I had to use Fray-Check everywhere. I had to change the legs to a dress, because the characters are kind of childlike and it would have been way too short on me.

I would love to see advice on tailoring a costume to your own body without having to buy a dress dummy...if that's possible.

"Cosplay and Stitches",   I am a cosplayer! I am currently working on a Prisma from Sailor Moon.  I would like a overview on how to read a pattern. Maybe ways to add zippers, or clasps.

I do a lot of Power Rangers so spandex is my fabric of choice. What i would like to learn more of is how to combine patterns to make your cosplay. Thanks!

I'm going to be cosplaying for the first time in May and I'm going to be making a Zaofu costume. The only problem is that I have no idea where to start. I have the trousers but when it comes to the fabric for the rest of the outfit I am at a loss. *Shrugs* I also have a very limited budget which doesn't help.

I'm looking for videos on vinyl and fake leather look. I've done a lot of simpler anime characters, my best costume so far is Blanche from Pokemon Go, but I want to get into more details.

Long time subscriber, first time commenter. What about 'Cosplay Matinee' or 'Cosplay Souffle'? The first because your are a great afternoon tutorial  and the second because you will be showing us all the ingredients for making a great costume.

Hi Whitney, I'm commenting for the first time but I've enjoyed your videos for a while. I like the suggestion of Cosplay Closet but here's a few I thought of:  Cosplay Crossing, Cosplay Cuteness, Cosplay Coolness,  Cosplay Chic. Keep up the great work! :-)

Just exactly what is Cosplay?  I'm enjoying this even tho I don't know what it is, other than dressing up in costume.

I really enjoy your videos. I had never heard of cosplay and had to look it up. Though I have no interest in cosplay, there is always something I can learn from your sewing tips. As for a name: Cosplay Culture, Cosplay Couture, Cosplay Cabal...
