Garage door rollers should be replaced every 10 to 15 years. Ball bearings within the roller will break down over time causing the stem to become loose from the wheel. Complete failure may occur as the roller gets older. This can cause the roller to come completely out of the track, and/or cause the door to get jammed.

Replacing the garage door rollers is something that a DIY'er can do. A word of CAUTION though... never remove the screws from the bottom fixture that holds the bottom roller in place. This plate is under the full tension of the spring where it is connected to the cable.

So about 2 weeks ago, my daughter and I went to your store in Katy and purchased 4 16ft garage panels, rollers, drums, tool to wind tension spring, and the chords that goes on drum. It was on Saturday morning. Your worker that day helped me to load up my trailer, secure everything down, and demonstrated how to repair and replace everything and what to do with the tension spring. I replaced and repaired my garage system and felt quite accomplished after doing so. I also replaced the existing chain system to Chamberlain belt drive. My husband was shocked and is still telling all his friends that his wife fixed the garage! When I change my rollers especially the bottom set that has a load. I just remove the bottom section of track remove the bottom roller and replace then just put the bottom track section back on. Think it’s better then bending the track

We recently moved and inherited some CHI garage door openers. We need additional remotes but I cannot find universal remotes that list compatibility with C.H.I. Any ideas where I could get compatible remotes?

You can remove all the rollers by simply removing the bracket/hinge. Bottom one requires locking the bottom one at full open, then remove opposite side.
