Personally, BigBang is more than just a Kpop idol to me. BigBang was a part of me throughout my teens. Listening back to these songs doesn't just remind me of how good they were, but also made me feel like a teenager all over again. A feeling this 'adult me' hasn't felt in a looong loooong time.

I'm now waaaay past the kpop die hard phase in my life (I was a 2nd gen kpop lover). I do not know any kpop group that trend nowadays, I only know their names but never heard any of their songs. I haven't listen to any other 2nd gen kpop group. I haven't listened to any SNSD songs in more than two years, haven't visited any 4minute videos in more than 5 years, or listened to any Super Junior songs in YEARS that I can't even county how long. I'm now a full time professional programmer living an adult life with lots of obligations and responsibilities piling over... but damn I keep coming back to Big Bang and their songs. That's when I realized the reason why is because they're not idols. I keep coming back not to see any flashy dances (their cute faces are just a bonus) but I come back because they're artists. I come back because of their songs.


Regardless of what controversy they'll be in, there's one thing we cannot deny: They made the best songs existing in kpop. And personally, I'll keep on supporting them as long as they keep making music.

가끔 우연히 빅뱅영상 보게 되면 빅뱅노래 정주행하는데 진짜 듣고있으면 신나다가도 슬퍼지고 또 듣고있으면 공허해지기도 하는데 또 다시 위로받고 기분 좋아지고 뭔가 응원 받는 기분으로마무리됨. 추억에도 젖어보고 진짜 내 별볼일 없는 학창시절에 빅뱅이 같이 존재했다는게 너무 행복해지네
