That's what you call maturity...and see, she too was not happy about her low-ball deal but she didn't pick fights, she went somewhere else! She put in more work, and Netflix in turn met with her and made a better offer! It's just business at the end of the day and her professionalism paid off. Love it!

Wanda said what Mo’nique still can’t understand: yes, you might put asses on the seats and you might be one of the legends, but you don’t sell out like the other ones. And I don’t think it has anything to do with your race or gender.
Take Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Out of ALL three, Britney would sell out both of them, while JT might sell better than Xtina. The three of them are legends and they could have sold out concerts, but there are still levels. And it has nothing to do with your race or gender.
Mo’nique sells, just not like the others, so why give her what the others are earning? Why give Christina what Britney earns?

i just saw a video with kat williams speaking on this issue back in the time and he said that netflix pays all the comedy performers basied on the same calculations including him, that they pay the performer for their special depending on what their last tour, gig, did in ticket sale numbers so example if you sold 400, 000 tickets then netflix would pay you $400, 000 for the netflix special and that is why monique was offered what she was offered
