Pov: a girl went to the aquarium with her teenage sister.Her parents always wanted to get rid of her.. they made her older sister and brother take her places so she would be out of the way.Her sister was glued to her phone and wouldn't get off of Tiktok to pay attention to her sister. So knowing she wasn't being supervised she ran off to see the mermaid that she heard so much about. As she wandered around and eventually found the tank, she saw a dark figure with what appeared to be a tail. For some reason the adults couldn't see the mermaid... whenever she went to the aquarium with her mom or dad they didn't see anything but fish. The mysterious shape.. beckoned to her to come closer... the girl, instantly drawn

Part two:

The girl looked at the mermaid and and said "ooh, you're so very beautiful" The mermaid's beautiful blue / purple hair stood out and flowed around her. "I wish I could be like you. Everyone must love you!" The siren just smiled and waved. But then the girl grew sleepy. She yawned and as her eyes closed it was as if.. she was in a daze.. under a the last she saw was her own body walking towards the tank, arms reaching to the mermaid.



{Sm1l1ng, The Siren stared at the child and giggled. For she would finally be free.}

The girl woke up and expected to be in her room. Instead she found herself being lowered into the water in a cage. She was unable to speak, or cry for help. Tears streamed down her face and she desperately looked for a way Then... She realized... This was the mermaid's tank. Realization hit her and as she passed out as she was lowered into the water.

POV: You’re a teen who secretly studies sirens, (the girl in the video) and even though multiple people have told you that they aren’t real, one day you go to an aquarium to find out, as it is heard that a siren lurks there. You enter and see the siren gracefully swim through the water, amazed at your discovery. You slowly hear her start singing, and knowing whats about to happen, you run, but not fast enough as her song gets into your ears and you are dragged in to the tank to become a siren yourself.

(answer to pinned comment) pov: when you were a child, your mom was taking you to the aquarium for your birthday, but you were kidnapped and later tested in a secret laboratory along with other kidnapped children. Years later, there was an attack on the laboratory, and you escaped, but some aquarium workers linked to the lab found you, and sold you to the aquarium, and later, you found out that because of the substances they put inside your body, you had become a mermaid, and you were incredibly valuable. A mysterious person saves you and takes you to the past, (but what you don’t know is that that timeline is messed up, so there are future and past selves of everyone stuck in a timeline they don’t belong to) where you’re in your human self, just about to be kidnapped. Fortunately, you don’t fall for it, and save yourself. Your mom takes you to the aquarium. When you get to the last exhibit, you see your future mermaid self, trapped in a tank. (Sorry if it’s kinda lazy and bad :’D)

Ok, I’m gonna write the pov for the siren.

POV: She’d always felt uncomfortable in the sea, always felt uncomfortable with her true nature. She hated the fact that she was only there to sing humans to their deaths.

One day, a large ship came about. Not a ship with sailors, but with people in bathing suits, enjoying themselves.

She was amazed, and she longed to be there with them. However, the ship passed her by, as she was unseen.

But she followed the ship, followed it for months. One day, she finally had enough following in jealousy.

She discovered a pipe at a port, and managed to squeeze herself through it.

She saw a faux ocean, but it was seemingly on display.

She swam around until she found a young human girl, staring at her right through the glass.

my pov isn’t that good but here I go:

{ pov : }

a girl was lonely and didn’t have many friends. she thought many girls her age were into boys, shopping, and jewelry, while she was just into nature. She loves land animals, sea animals, plants, and other nature. She was bored at home and decided to go to the aquarium, one of her favorite places. As she was exploring, she saw a tank that looked quite empty. Just coral, seashells, seaweed, and some other decorations. As she tried to look closer inside, she still couldn’t see anything. She looked for so long, as she was very curious. She didn’t know that the doors had been locked, and that she was locked inside for the rest of the night. She didn’t know the aquarium closed at 8:00 p.m. it was now 8:10. She got bored of trying to look inside, but then she suddenly heard singing. She looked back at the tank, just to see a big cloud of dust, and she couldn’t quite make out what was inside. She squinted, until she got drawn into the tank in the blink of an eye. She couldn’t swim at all, so she had to hold her breath as long as she could. Her legs started to feel awkward, until she looked and saw a purple tai. She then could breathe underwater without trying to hold her breath. She could now swim, and do anything underwater. Except escape.. another mermaid grabbed her by the arm and started singing like a siren again, and the girl who was now a mermaid, noticed that the siren was slowly disappearing out of sight. The siren was gone, nowhere to be seen. This tank was empty, and it felt lonely. The girl swam around in fear, not knowing if she would get out. Days, months, years, decades have passed. Nobody came to see that tank, and she was left there in that tank forever. Not being able to get out or swim away… until one day, she heard the siren singing again- she looked around frantically, not knowing where people it was from. Until she noticed.. that was her own singing.
