I like how despite count dooku being the villain had a clear pain show when he realized a son’s father had just been killed for them to watch. It’s a subtle detail to show that he has a sense of compassion for those next to him.

Also I loved Jango Fett, and the Bounty Hunter game was great. Mace Windu did him dirty but it shows that it’s war and that Mace was unlike other Jedi. He even had a sense of guilt or pain show after he had taken a life.

I just noticed that Jango tried to fly away after getting his hand chopped off. You can see his jets go off briefly before he loses his head. A little self preservation prior to the dismemberment made it all the more brutal

I love the detail of the shadow of Jango's head as it falls out of the helmet. They cut the part out where the Jedi start using it like a soccer ball, which is a shame.

Flying limbs are fun. If they're not your flying limbs, that is.

I love how the helmet is already empty by the time it hits the ground, but the way they animated the shadow of the severed head flying out is dark.

Prequel lightsaber: *can cut through any material*

Sequel trilogy: "Ooooh look at all the pretty lines my glowstick draws!"

I hate myself for knowing this, and even more for writing it here, but they discuss Mace Windu's lightsaber style in one of the Star Wars books. Form VII, "Vaapad", is considered a particularly brutal form where you channel your opponents 'fury' back at them. Rather than defeating an opponent with your own skill, you simply channel their hate and intent back at them. You "surrender" to your opponent's fury in a barely-controlled feedback loop. Considered perilously close to the Dark Side, its use is allowed but discouraged among Jedi. I know, it's just a story--I don't have all the forms memorized or anything, I just remember being interested by that particular detail. Intentionally or not, they demonstrated the brutality and lethality of Mace Windu's form of combat. Now I'm going to go take a shower to wash off some of the nerd.

"I mean, even in A New Hope you got Obiwan cuttin off this poor guys arm.."

uh excuse me that is NOT a "poor guy", he's actually a very bad man.

The way the mandalorian approached utilizing Jedi’ appearances in a limited, almost mythos-type of way was perfect. The Jedi are much cooler and bad ass when they’re secondary protagonists. You appreciate their reality a lot more, imo

This is the first time I've actually noticed that he tries to ignite his jetpack and escape before the fatal blow, but it was damaged from his fight with the horned bull alien thing.

I think this is about Mace hitting only his bescar armour and eventually going for the neck. He didn´t intend to kill him immidietly but to disarm him first, but when that didn´t work he was considered "too dangerous to be left alive" so he killed him fast.

The way he kinda shakes his wrists after every strike I really think Jango wasn't being cut up but that he was meant to be _blocking_ the lightsaber strikes, I think this was going to be the first on-screen instance of Beskar blocking a lightsaber but George changed it (Imagine the confusion and how many questions uninformed more casual audience members would have had seeing the "cut through anything sword" be blocked by something)

I’m still hoping for a rated R Star Wars movie. Give the fans what they want!

Why every Mandalorian who intends to fight a jedi doesn't have chainmail at joints including the neck is a mystery to me.

0:33 "This poor mans arm" *the arm of one of the most wanted men in the history of the galaxy, wanted for crimes so sick and disturbing that even Palpatine would have been disgusted*

I love the detail in the shadow. Seeing his head come out of the helmet is a great touch.

They did Jango dirty in the movie. All the badass shit we saw him do in bounty hunter just to get completely wrecked by mace without really even putting up that much of a fight.

My favorites are those death scenes from Rogue One.Heroes and villains alike especially the hallway scene with Darth Vader. Some fans cheered him that this is the Darth Vader everybody wanted.

Those weren’t his limbs being cut off. He was blocking the lightsaber strikes with his beskar armor. Would’ve been a way better death since he’s the most feared Bounty Hunter in the galaxy and he just dies without even putting up a fight
