Olé your brave balls! First you drill a hole in the boat, and then you show us all how to fix it :)
You could've asked me for my kayak to repair instead ;)

Seriously though, thank you so much for the video — you have my like and my deepest gratitude.

Hey Jerry, After we talked a sprung a tiny leak. It may have been while moving it in my van. But it's good to put a face to your voice. Thanks for everything and your great and together co.

Don't you think that the most important information on your video. ... would be to tell the audience what glue you used and where to get it from?
that is the reason why I opened your video

Great video man, really appreciate the info. I had a rough idea of what I was doing but you confirmed a few things I was doing wrong. Appreciated.

Finally I found a straight to the point, no nonsense video that makes sense. which glue is recommended? I'm hearing that E6000 or Loctite Vinyl, Fabric and Plastic flex glue will work.

Hi and thanks for posting even tough it was 12 years ago, We have a new kayak (3 weeks old) that has a very small tear (2mm) on a seam at the tip of one of our side air chambers, would this be an easy fix or will it give us on going problems - I was thinking about returning the Kayak as the pump that came with it as a gauge on top that does not give a pressure reading as the needle just moves up and down straight away as you stop, so you really have no idea how much pressure you are putting in. I like the pressure pump you used, where do I get one of those. Our Kayak has 3 chambers and they only require 1.5Psi each so not much - is that a bad sign of a poor quality Kayak. Cheers Glenn v from NZ

We've had a lot of success with the method shown I suggest you follow those instructions. Chemical cleaning is not required for all apps. Several layers are good for items like skegs, but not always needed. How fast the glue dries is dependent on temperature. The hotter it is the faster it tacks up so be ready to mate the patch to the boat when tacky. I think humidity is irrelevant and glue will adhere to itself even under water. One should not sand PVC fabric. Call SE we'll discuss, Jerry

SeaEagle seems good quality. My Brand New INTEX Seahawk 3 got 3 punctures from just dragging it in the grass with small bushes.Might have to check this SeaEagle kayak out.

Rather simple, really. Much easier that I had expected. Hope I never need it; but good information to know, if I do.

hi all! is it safe to repair(and use afterwards) a hole that is next to a seam?

I'm wondering whether it is better to patch from the inside, even if it means cutting a larger slit, so that the pressure of the vessel will work with the repair instead of against it.

This is all very well, but I have a small leak near a seam and sticking a patch on - no matter how carefully - hasn't fixed it. Please tell me how!!!

Nice, but what is the patch material and where does one buy it?

Alex,

You can purchase repair kits for Sea Eagle boats at the link above. The GT-15 hasn't been in production for many years, but you can use the repair kit for the SE-6, SE-8 & SE-9 which has comparable material.
