I’m part of the same faith as Brandon. In my experience whenever someone starts going the way he is with the LGBTQRSTUV agenda they inevitably leave God’s path. Pray for him, I believe God can change his heart!

Jon, I know this all too well. Ended up self publishing my dark fantasy epic because no one was willing to publish my Norse inspired novel featuring a white male masculine protagonist overcoming adversity through perseverance and strength. I’m sure my book was probably a little too long for a first publish also, but I’m happy to say it’s based and there is zero pandering. The characters in my book are inspired from my life experiences, and not meant to check any boxes.

I’ve been a Brandon Sanderson fan for years but I’m jumping ship now. It’s just too much. I cannot believe what I was reading in Wind and Truth. Brandon truly has sold out, I’m very disappointed. I made a comment on the fantasy subreddit about how the woke stuff in this book is not for me and of course got immediately censored lol. I’m so happy I found this corner of YouTube.

I own a lot of books Sanderson has written, and I like them. There's no need to throw everything away because he has sold out and changed the content of his books. So I'm not "leaving as a fan, " so much as he is going places I won't follow. There are plenty of books I've read written by people not living up to Christian standards- but I will part ways with anyone pushing "The Message." What worries me is Brandon's radical statements and beliefs, bringing him to the edge of apostasy. Christ is the judge though, not me. I'm simply going to tune out.

You must understand, he's probably the biggest fantasy author today for better or worse.
Has massive fanbase that are cult like.
I've been on various booktube discords over years and if you say anything slightly negative about him they just mess you up like phirans.
I was never like in than camp, liked some of his books, think Mistborn 1 trilogy is solid but yeah lots of ppl are completely insane about him.

I never liked his books. I thought they lacked character depth, and emotional depth. I guess his characters reflect his own emotional stagnation.

I mean, this was a _serious_ kick to the hornet's nest. Brandon Sanderson isn't some no-name imposter of a writer hijacking a science fiction convention, he's one of the most prolific writers of the last twenty years, and your attacks weren't exactly subtle.

I'm not against you, Jon, just saying, you're officially all-in on this fight. Remember, these people will _never_ take your apology if you ever have second thoughts, ever.
