Harrison is a transformed Pelham Puppet. He started life (somewhere between 1968 and 1983) as a children's stick type ventriloquist puppet. In 2020 he arrived in a very poor condition in The Black Country in the West Midlands of England. He was repainted, given a jointed wooden body, controller and strings, blue jeans, jacket, shirt and tie (from other Vent puppets) and a lovely new pair of real, tiny shoes (plus long, curly hair.)

He is singing the traditional American song, "Deep River." This expresses the longing of a suffering Christian slave for the peace he will find in the 'Gospel feast' of heaven.

The music track is form the album 'Willard White in Concert.' and can be found, provided by Entertainment One Distribution US , here:

The singer is Sir Willard White with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Carl Davis.

Thanks to a simple green screen set up, Harrison appears to be standing at the edge of a great, deep river. This is actually a photograph of a beach near Harlech, North Wales, looking across towards the Llŷn Peninsula.
